Apple Pie Sky

By Lori Powell

The season is approaching and the chill is finally in the air. After so many days of searing heat the temperature has dropped to a blissful 75 degrees and dipped into the refreshingly chilly 50s just last night.

It was quite a shock to the system, though, on arriving bare foot in the kitchen this morning to pour my first cup of joe. I had flung open all of the windows in the house the night before to welcome all of the cool breezes. Brrrrrr….but really good sleeping!!

Irish Food Stars Share Recipes

By Sandy Hu

I’m thinking I must have been Irish in a previous life because I feel so at home in Ireland. Tricky Nicky

By Andrew Hunter

Without skipping a beat, Benny reaches over and steals Nicky’s potatoes. How can two children come from the same place and be so different?

Sweet Bitters- Campari: A Love Story

By Katie Barreira

Picture it, Italy, 1860. Gaspare Campari comes home from a long day in the fields, feeling downright haggard. Good thing his wife has spent the afternoon steeping her secret recipe of herbs, spices and citrus peel.

Just a glug of the health tonic, sends the worn Gaspare straight to bed and in the morning he awakes, refreshed and fortified by the medicinal brew. Over the milk pails Gaspare extols the virtues of the Campari family restorative and the rest is history…Ok, so everything past Gaspare Campari is my fanciful and entirely concocted, version of Campari’s mysterious inception, but you get the idea!
